Phishing and Data Loss

We've all heard of Phishing, haven't we?

But let's dive a bit deeper and see why it is a massive problem for businesses. In fact, it may be the biggest one.

Phishing involves cybercriminals sending fraudulent emails or text messages with links leading to harmful websites. These sites may harbor malware, like ransomware, which can disrupt systems and organizations. Alternatively, they might be crafted to deceive individuals into disclosing confidential details (like passwords) or to execute financial transactions.

Organizations of any scale and nature are susceptible to phishing attacks. Your organization could become entangled in a widespread campaign, where emails are randomly distributed to countless recipients, or it might signal the onset of a precise assault directed at your enterprise or a particular staff member. In such focused campaigns, attackers exploit knowledge about your workforce or business to craft messages that are more convincing and authentic, often referred to as spear phishing.
